It can feel like that. The symptoms that are physical and emotional (I mention them below video).
The symptoms of perimenopause (which is the stage leading up to menopause when you receive the most symptoms) can start in your early 40's, that is the way it was for me. So I had no idea what was going on. I hear this from a few women.
Also, no one really talks about this phase of life (only to joke about it). But it isn't a joke when you are going through it.
In the video I talk about what you can expect. But…it is very different for each woman. And some of the things I talk about you may not even realize are related to perimenopause & menopause.
I also talk about what I experienced and can be done to feel better.
If you are a woman over 40 – you will want to watch this. If you have had a hysterectomy then you might be experiencing perimenopause (forced) so will notice the symptoms too.
Here are some of the symptoms you may experience:
(And you do not get them all at once as well you may not get all of them)
- Bloating and digestive problems
- Low sex drive
- Acid reflux
- Fatigue, feeling tired, even exhausted
- A bit of depression
- Over emotional – emotional ups and downs
- Inability to handle stress like you used to
- Feeling of overwhelm
- Cravings for sugar and or fat and salt
- Weight gain & can't seem to loose it
- Food sensitivities
- Break outs (like you got as a teenager)
- Loss of hair
- Periods – heavy, light, skip a month, 2 in one month, etc
- Heart palpitations
- Dizzy – a bit light headed
- Hot flashes
- Night sweats
And I may be forgetting some.
Crazy isn't it!!? But like I said, some women only get a few of these and then some – get a lot.
During this phase of life, what used to work,
doesn't work anymore.
You are changing, your body is changing and that affects your moods, energy, health & weight!
It can be frustrating and very confusing. You don't know who to believe and what to believe.
I get it, I have been there.
That is why I do what I do. While I was going through this I had to do all my own research. There was no one to talk to.
It took me a few years of trying many, many things to find out what worked for me. What helped me feel better as well as lose the stubborn weight!
Why was I gaining it? What was going on? Yup the hormones, along with the food you are eating. It may even seem healthy but it is not just that. It is the type of foods.
Once I found what worked – I felt incredible!
I got my life back and I lost weight – I ended up a weight I was in my 20's at the age of 47-48!
