Magic Pill for Weight Loss? In a way there is…..

Are there supplements that can aide in weight loss, even when you are going through perimenopause and menopause?

I would say YES for sure.

Does that surprise you?

There are some great products out there that can help your body balance blood sugar levels and give it some great nutrition so that it can detoxify (toxins are held in fat), release fat, get rid of water retention and decrease inflammation.

So yes, you can lose weight for sure. That is the “extra” weight that is holding on to toxins in your body. This is also very important because a toxic body leads to illness and disease. So does a body that is always fighting inflammation.

AND….. NUTRIENTS – the right ones is what your body needs.

We cannot always get those nutrients from food as well as most people DO NOT EAT HEALTHY FOOD (enough of it) CONSISTENTLY and eat too much food that is “acidic” and causes the spike in blood sugar levels and increase in inflammation.

I see it every single day in the coffee shops I sit in.

I watch people eat foods that are devoid of nutrients, are full of sugar and the “white stuff” and unhealthy fats. These are “killer” for your body. Also – packaged foods, dressings, sauces, dips, chips, crackers, cookies that are packaged and processed and add to the toxic load in your body.

And then they WONDER WHY THEY HAVE NO ENERGY AND

KEEP GAINING WEIGHT!

 

So YES you can take some kind of nutritional detox product and/or weight loss product to lose weight. 

BUT.…..the thing is……what will happen when you finish the supplements and/or don't want to take them forever?

THEN WHAT?

You GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK.

You gain the weight back because you have not learned to naturally balance blood sugar levels and eat in a way that totally supports your body and fuels it with the RIGHT nutrients.

ALSO – there are other things that contribute to the weight gain.

 

What most people do NOT realize is that STRESS directly affects weight and energy. 

You WILL NOT RELEASE WEIGHT if you are under consistent stress.

And the STRESS actually CAUSES WEIGHT GAIN.

 

Although there are things you can take to help your body handle stress better and also detoxify – it is really about working on your MIND/BODY/SPIRIT – because health involves all of those things.

 

In your 20's, 30's and even early 40's you can handle so much more. 

When you hit your mid 40's – YOU NO LONGER CAN.

UNLESS……. you are someone who has already been eating really healthy and chooses and practices living a less stressful life and who knows the importance of self-care and has developed some great rituals and regularly tunes into your body and knows what it needs each day.

 

If you think that sounds like JUST TOO MUCH to do – I can tell you – IT IS NECESSARY. And the more you continue with your stressed out, super busy, eat whatever I can get my hands on life -you will continue to gain weight and will always struggle with low energy, stress, overwhelm, symptoms and more and more weight.

You may not have tried them yet and that also means there are many things in your life that you can now LET GO OF! BECAUSE THEY ARE SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF YOU!

HELP, HELP, HELP!

 

I get it. I have been there. I have cried in a coffee shop reading a book about weight gain in midlife. I did not want to face it that I was in perimenopause and I was going through “the change” (even at 43).

I cried because I had no idea what to do.

I felt helpless.

I felt all alone and no one understood. Not even my doctor.

I was too young! And even now at 54 I deal with more changes (emotional and physical) but I am so happy that I chose over the years to learn/read/study what is going on and what I can do.

That is why I am so passionate about helping women through this phase and even after. We are always changing.

 

I DID FIND WHAT WORKED FOR ME. I LOST WEIGHT WHEN WOMEN WERE GAINING IT.

 

I have kept the weight off. I have been over menopause for about 6 years! I do not struggle with weight. Because I discovered what worked.
