This Flax Bread is so easy to make! (video below)
Just a few ingredients and it is full of fibre and omega 3's!
BUT – I caution YOU – this is NOT low in calories so please be careful how much you eat.
It is very filling and great for traveling and carrying with you when you don't have much time to stop and eat.
It can also be used like bread for an open face sandwich.
Low Carb Flax Bread
- 3 1/2 – 4 Tbsp oil (I used grape seed oil)
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 Cup ground flax
I a larger bowl mix together the oil, eggs, water, salt and baking soda.
Stir in the ground flax. Mix well.
Let this mixture sit and thicken for about 5-15 minutes to thicken.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the flax mixture and spread evenly into a rectangle shape (watch video)
Bake at about 325 for about 20-25 minutes (or until cooked through and not mushy).
Let cool and then cut.
